Who we are

Built by Marketeers and Engineers, for communications teams

We build tools that help communications teams keep pace with the news. Founded by a small team of engineers and strategists, rex.ai combines AI speed with human judgment — so the content you publish is fast to produce and still worth trusting.

The team

Our Team

Alex Wood
Founder & CEOAlex Wood

Alex founded rex.ai after a career spent inside quality and product leadership roles at companies like Dott, LEKKER Bikes, and Polaroid — work that instilled a rigorous, process-driven approach to shipping things that work. That same discipline now shapes how rex.ai thinks about AI-generated content: not as a shortcut, but as a tool that has to be built on verifiable, well-sourced information. Based in Amsterdam, Alex leads the company's mission to restore trust in how information is understood and shared, freeing writers and marketers to focus on the parts of the craft only humans can do.

Rhodri Wilson
Founder & CTORhodri Wilson

Rhodri designed and built rexnova's core architecture — a cloud-native pipeline on Google Cloud spanning Python, Go, and SQL for ingestion, clustering, and generation. Before rex.ai, he spent nearly a decade at BAE Systems across torpedo and radar programmes, including standing up the engineering function for BAE Systems Digital Intelligence from scratch: writing the governance and lifecycle management processes that took the business to Lloyd's Register accreditation, and hands-on delivery of an Azure-deployed maintenance management tool. That mix of rigorous systems engineering and direct software delivery now shapes how rex.ai builds — architecture that's genuinely engineered, not just assembled. Physics graduate from Cardiff University, based in Portsmouth.

Claire Tange
Co-founder & CFOClaire Tange

Claire brings a rare combination of engineering rigour and hands-on finance leadership to rex.ai. As CFO at Fastned she helped raise over €35 million and took the company through two public listings, and at Dott she built the finance function from scratch across 6 countries in 15 months. Alongside rex.ai, Claire is a Partner at Borski Fund and founder of Joanna Invests, backing female-led startups — giving her a sharp eye for what makes a company fundable and built to scale. Based in Amsterdam.

PB
Product Owner & Lead DeveloperPascale Beier

Pascale has been building and shipping software for over a decade, with a particular depth in Laravel and e-commerce architecture, and has known Alex for years. He owns product development on rex.ai's content engine, bringing hands-on engineering judgement rather than just oversight to how rexnova is built. Alongside rex.ai, Pascale built and operates HitKeep, a live product of his own — giving him a founder's instinct for what actually needs to ship versus what's just nice to have.

MJ
Search & AI Visibility AdvisorMarcelo Javelly

Marcelo advises rex.ai on search strategy and search-led content workflows, bringing direct experience from the fast-moving front line of SEO and GEO. He currently leads SEO, Content, and Paid performance for global sports-media sites reaching 1.5M+ monthly readers as Head of Performance at MoveUp Media, following senior website optimisation roles at Brandwatch and Cision. Marcelo hosts rex.ai's recurring webinar series on AI search and brand discoverability, translating what's actually working in GEO — as opposed to outdated SEO habits — into practical guidance for clients.

CB
Business Development Advisor (Americas)Chris Bross

Chris brings over 30 years of experience across consumer electronics, data storage, cybersecurity, and circular technology to his fractional advisory role with rex.ai, where he focuses on building partnerships and new business opportunities across the Americas. He currently leads enterprise ITAD and lifecycle solutions business development at CXtec, following 23 years as CTO at DriveSavers Data Recovery and a role as VP of Business Development at iFixit. Chris runs his own advisory practice, Tierrabyte LLC, and is active in right-to-repair and circular economy advocacy.

BH
Business Development InternBailey Hilliar

Bailey joined rex.ai as a Business Development Intern, building the company's external communication strategy from first principles — starting with who should hear from rex.ai, why, and what they actually want to see. She's driven rex.ai's LinkedIn presence and launched the company's first internal monthly team update, both built to be clear and lightweight rather than heavy process for its own sake. Bailey studies Economics and Psychology (with a minor in Dutch) at the University of Michigan, and was recognised as Sage Corps' Intern of the Week for the impact of her work.

AH
CopywriterAleydis Haubrich

Aleydis brings over a decade of UX and brand copywriting experience to rex.ai, natively fluent in English and Dutch, with a client list spanning Zendesk, PayPal, adidas, KLM, and Diageo's portfolio of spirits brands. She was Lead Brand & UX Copywriter at Dott — the same micro-mobility startup where several of the rex.ai team previously worked — where she built the brand voice from scratch and helped the app win a Red Dot Design Award. Aleydis specialises in taking a company's vision and turning it into copy that actually sounds like a person wrote it, across UX flows, campaigns, and brand voice work.
